Kranjan's in New York held the 2018 Summer Picnic

The greatness of Kraja is its sons and daughters, who gave the nation honor and name all over the world!

The now traditional summer picnic organized by the "Kraja" Association was held on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at the "Craigmeur Recreation Complex" Nature Park on Green Pond Rd Newfoundland, New Jersey. The picnic starts at 9 in the morning and ends at 6 in the evening.

Invitations to picnics are answered by hundreds of local and even wider families. The Krajans defied the busy work schedule and participated massively, spending some very satisfying moments with each other as part of the Krajan community in New York and the surrounding area.

The Consul of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Lulzim Krasniqi, the Imam of the Albanian-American Islamic Center in Queens, Mr. Edin Gjoni, and the well-known journalist Mr. Beqir Sina, who also reports in the media everything about our picnic, honored us with their presence.

Kraja and its citizens have been an important factor in the national historical moment and an uncompromising fighter in the defense of our cultural values. Our community is also an important factor in New York with the surrounding area and most dignified represents the cultural and national values best demonstrated in the last picnic.

As always, Kranjan's have responded to the call of the homeland with bravery and generosity, an answer which is not absent this time either. Thanks to their generosity, the Kraja Association provides free meals. Once again, special thanks to the sponsors of the picnic:

We want to thank Mirsad Demir, Nefail Perash and Safet Doçi who prepared the food and served the guests in a perfect way.

We also thank DJ Mirsad Gjinen, who entertains the audience all the time with popular songs and dances, creating a festive atmosphere. We also thank the well-known singer Hejdi Mehmeti, who was also part of the music program.

The main event of the picnic was the soccer tournament between the neighborhoods of Kraja.
